Details:
Co-Direct and manage all aspects of the Bexley MS 6 th -8 th grade bands, including daily
instruction, curriculum development, and strategic recruitment/retention initiatives.
Collaborate closely with HS staff to ensure a cohesive pedagogical sequence and student skill
transition across all grade levels.
Provide instructional support/assist the HS marching band during the football season.
Direct and manage all aspects of the Bexley Symphonic Band, and assist Prism Ensemble in
coordination with HS staff.
Direct and manage all aspects of 5 th grade band at one elementary school in coordination from
staff for other two elementary 5 th grade bands-including lesson plan, lesson delivery, as well as
recruiting and retention initiatives.
Qualifications:
A valid State of Ohio Music K-12 teaching license
A demonstrated background in teaching band students at all levels is preferred.
Exceptional communication, classroom management skills, organizational proficiency, and a
collaborative mindset are essential for success within our team-teaching model.
Candidate should have experience using music notation software, marching band drill writing
software, as well as comfort in Google suite or similar.
