St. Edward High School has a fantastic opportunity available for a percussion instructor for the 2026 band season, beginning June 1 and working through the end of band season in November or December. The percussion instructor will be tasked with teaching battery and front ensemble, basic playing, movement technique, part placement, and performance preparation. Rehearsal schedule: Mondays and Thursdays, 3:45–5:45 p.m., and Tuesdays, 6–9 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Exhibits a passion for music.
  • Proficiency in playing and instructing others to play percussion instruments.
  • Experience writing for percussion, including both battery and front ensemble.
  • Minimum 2 years of music instruction experience is preferred. Past participation in competitive marching band or drum corps is desired.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Successful BCI/FBI background screen and can Cleveland Diocese Virtus training.
