Ohio Music Education Association

Any music teacher who has taught for 25 years has an opportunity to be recognized for this outstanding achievement. If this is your 25th year of teaching and you meet the other requirements listed on the application form, you are eligible. This is an honor that is bestowed upon our own by OMEA and is a fitting tribute for a job well done. You must, however, personally fill out and submit the application.
Requirements
Please fill out the form and submit by January 3rd.
1. Applicant must have at least 25 years of active teaching in music education (not necessarily all in Ohio).
2. Applicant must have held membership in OMEA for 10 of the last 15 years of their teaching career. Membership in music education associations of other states will be considered valid.
3. Candidates whose 25 years include Armed Forces time are also eligible, providing it was interrupted time (i.e. after the applicant began teaching).
4. Awards will be made on Saturday of the Professional Development Conference.
